MCC's Dual Credit Program Receives Accreditation!

The Dual Credit Program is now an accredited member of the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP).  NACEP is a professional organization for high schools and colleges that fosters and supports rigorous concurrent enrollment. Established in 1999 in response to the dramatic increase in concurrent enrollment courses throughout the country, NACEP serves as a national accrediting body and supports all members by providing standards of excellence, research, communication, and advocacy.  MCC's Dual Credit Program, which started in 1995 with a handful of courses at 5 partner school districts, enrolled almost 4000 (unduplicated) high school students during the 07-08 academic year.  Eighty-one different MCC courses were offered at 27 school districts last year with MCC faculty from 12 departments serving as liaisons for a total of 473 course sections.

Many thanks to those MCC faculty who chaired and served on the numerous committees that assisted with the NACEP accreditation application.
