New Processes Designed to Protect MCC Employees from Identity Theft

According to the Federal Trade Commission’s estimate, nine million Americans have their identities stolen each year.

It’s a growing problem – a problem that we’re doing our very best to help MCC employees avoid.

ALL EMPLOYEES PLEASE NOTE:

As of June 2, 2008, all inbound e-mail messages that include SS# information will be delivered to the intended recipient. The inbound e-mail will include an appended message that notes the presence of possible personal and private information. This message will advise the e-mail recipient to remove any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in their response.

All outbound e-mail messages that include SS# information will be REJECTED. An automatically generated message will inform the sender that their outbound e-mail message has been stopped.

Please be assured that ETS is constantly looking to make our systems secure. When a security issue arises, the system is immediately patched and users are informed about the situation.
