Welcome these New Employees


Our welcome of new employees continues:

Jennifer Dougherty is a technical assistant for the Emergency Services Programs at the Public Safety Training Facility.  Jennifer earned an Associate in Occupational Studies (A.O.S.) degree in Medical Assisting and has been an Emergency Medical Technician since 1994.  Most recently, she worked at the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department 911 Center as a dispatcher. 

Pamela Emigh-Murphy is an instructor in the English/ Philosophy Department.  Pam earned her M.A. from SUNY Buffalo and her B.A. from SUNY Geneseo.  She has taught as a part-time and adjunct instructor at MCC and was an Alice H. Young intern. 

Regina Fabbro is an instructor in the English/ Philosophy Department.   Regina earned a M.A. from Eastern Michigan University and a B.A. from Adrian College.  After completing her master’s degree, she continued at East Michigan as an adjunct as well as at Jackson Community College.  Regina became a part-time instructor at MCC in 2005. 

Lisa Fluman has been appointed information specialist at the MCC Foundation.  Lisa previously worked as a  programmer and analyst with Broome Community College and SunGard Financial Systems.  She earned her B.A. from SUNY Potsdam and her A.A.S. in computer science from Cayuga Community College.

Julianna Frisch is our new manager of campus events.  She received a M.S. in management from Roberts Wesleyan College and a B.S. in English from SUNY College at Brockport.   She has been an adjunct professor for the Hospitality Department at MCC since the fall semester of 2004.  Julianna has most recently worked as the cash operating/catering director for Aramark at Roberts Wesleyan College. She has over 12 years of event planning experience, ten of which are in the college/university setting.

E. Jethro Gaede is an instructor in the Anthropology/History/Political Science/Sociology Department.  Jethro earned a M.A. from the University of Oklahoma, a M.L.S. from Syracuse University and a B.F.A. from the Maryland Institute College of Art.  Jethro has taught as an instructor at the University of Oklahoma and brings with him extensive research in Native Americans; he is close to finishing his doctorate. 

Marisol Galarza-Ruiz  is an instructor in the ESOL/Foreign Languages Department.  Marisol earned a C.A.S. (Education Administration) and M.S. degree from SUNY Brockport and a B.S. from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez.  Marisol has taught at both the Brighton and Damon City campuses as an Alice H. Young adjunct as well as the Rochester City School District.

Thomas Garigen is the new sports information director for MCC’s Athletics Department.  Tom was previously the sports writer for the Messenger Post Newspapers in Canandaigua as well as a freelance sports writer.  Tom earned his B.S. in journalism from SUNY Brockport and his A.S. from Genesee Community College.

Shakoya Gilmore  joined MCC in April as a light laborer in Building Services.  She is a current MCC student and previously worked at the YMCA-Metro.  Shakoya is also an Army Reservist.

Cassius Goff was hired in April as a light laborer for the evening shift.  During the day, he works as a personal trainer.  Before coming to MCC, Cassius was a Sky Cap for Hunt Leigh Corporation at the Greater Rochester Monroe County Airport.
