Model United Nations Program Information Sessions

Time is running out. Tell your students this is the perfect time to step forward and become a part of something that can change their lives. Encourage them to attend one of the following information sessions to find out what Model UN is and what it can do for them.  Faculty are welcome to attend any of the sessions to obtain information that you can present to your students.

The informational sessions are;

Tuesday, October 7th, noon-1:30pm, room 3-115
Thursday, October 9th, 3pm -4pm, room 3-117
Monday, October 13th, 3:30pm-4:30pm, room 3-115
Wednesday, October 15th, 3pm -4:30pm, room 3-115

The Model UN Program is open to any student who attends Monroe Community College, either full or part time regardless of major.  The program seeks students who have a serious interest in the world and display leadership qualities.  Students must have strong grade point average, a mature demeanor and be serious minded, and be able to work in a team environment.

Here are some things for your students to consider:
* Students apply to the program this semester, however the class actually starts in the Spring
* If you like challenges, like working in teams, and you are able to put yourself in another person’s shoes this program can be very beneficial.
* You will go to New York City for one week (all expenses paid for) to work with other students from all over the world.
* You will learn valuable leadership skills that will set you a part from others.

Want to talk?  Visit us in the Office of Student Life and Leadership Development, building 3-126, or attend one of the above informational sessions.
