CNA Training Center Opening Attracts Local Health Care Providers

The Monroe Community College Department of Nursing and the Certified Nursing
Assistant (CNA) program welcomed members of the community to the grand opening
of its new training center located on the 4th floor of the Damon City Campus
last Friday, Sept. 27.

Approximately 65 guests were introduced to Nursing faculty and staff and were
given guided tours of the computer lab, classroom and skills lab.

Representatives of Maxim Health Care Services, Genesee Region Home Care, St.
Ann's Community, Unity Health Systems, Hamilton Manor Nursing Home, Jewish Home
of Rochester and Kirkhaven also toured the training center. The representatives
were eager to see first-hand where their employees -- and prospective employees
-- will receive training and gain a greater understanding about CNA program.
