Join AAWCC in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Every three minutes, a woman in the United States learns she has breast cancer.  Anyone can be touched by the effects of breast cancer because these women could be our mothers, wives, sisters, or friends. This year will be the third year that members of the American Association of Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) will put on their walking shoes to participate in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.  Will you join us?

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is a noncompetitive walk to raise awareness and dollars to fight breast cancer.  Pledges are dedicated to lifesaving American Cancer Society research, education, advocacy, and patient service programs to defeat the disease.  This year the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk is being held on Sunday, October 16, at Frontier Field.  The walk itself is a 1.5 mile walk to Liberty Pole and back.  Walking in Making Strides is a fun way to raise money to fight this disease.

If you are interested in becoming a member of our walk team please email sspinetti@monroecc.edu.
