Online Faculty Discussion Group Meets Thursday 9/22

This group is for anyone interested in teaching online, those who web enhance their courses, teach a hybrid course, and those currently teaching online.

Our first meeting of the Online Faculty Discussion Group will be Thursday 9.22  from 3-4pm in the Virtual Campus Center Training Room in the Flynn Campus Center on the Brighton Campus (room #3-122).  We will also be streaming this session for those on other campuses or anyone who cannot make this meeting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tKlmpi0LGs

The purpose of this group is to gather together as online faculty, learn about best practices, and support our work within the online world.

This semester we plan to continue to "look under the hood" of other online classes. This topic was well-received last semester and we heard participants wanted more. We will explore exemplary classes taught by MCC faculty, Open SUNY faculty, and others in the Bb universe. We also will reserve time each session to discuss what is going on in our own classes as well. For our first meeting, we are fortunate to have Elizabeth Johnston (ENG/PHL) presenting her course.

If you can join us, RSVP at bit.ly/onlinegroup.

If you have questions about this group, please email Andrea Gilbert @ <mailto:agilbert14@monroecc.edu>  or Beth Wilson@ <mailto:mwilson42@monroecc.edu>.

We hope to see you on the 22nd!
