Debra Alimentato has been selected as a recipient of the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence which she will receive on April 6, 2010 in Albany, New York. She was nominated by Adele Anderson, her SUNY Empire State College mentor.
Students are recognized for demonstrating accomplishments in the areas of leadership, athletics, community service, creative and performing arts or career achievement.
Selection committees from all SUNY New York State colleges review exemplary graduating students. The nominees are forwarded to the Chancellor’s Office for a second review. Finalists are then recommended for the Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence.
In addition, Debra will also be awarded Outstanding Adult Student award from Empire State College. She will graduate in June 2010 with a Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Human Services Administration.
