Teaching Online Faculty Discussion Group

Do you teach online and want to learn about best practices? Do you feel isolated teaching online and want support from other online instructors? Are you considering teaching online and want more information about this work?

We are very excited to be facilitating a TCC/Virtual Campus Discussion Group focusing on issues and topics regarding teaching and learning in the online environment. Our goal is to support faculty preparing to or currently teaching online by sharing tools, strategies, and best practices. Some topics we might discuss include: facilitating class discussions, student motivation, instructor presence, online assessment, and building a class community. We will have the group members determine which topics are of most interest to them and best fit their needs.

Our meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month from 2-3:20 pm on the Brighton Campus (TCC 12-201). Our next meeting dates are November 10th and December 8th.  We welcome adjunct and full-time faculty to chat with us as we examine education research and learn best practices for the online environment.
