<p><a href="https://cals.cornell.edu/global-development/our-work/our-initiatives/hubert-h-humphrey-fellowship-program/2021-22-cohort/afiavi-caca-calista-akibode">Afiavi Caca Akibode</a>, Humphrey Fellow at Cornell University, will share her experience working with and supporting women entrepreneurs in agribusiness in Togo (West Africa): an overview about women entrepreneurship in Togo, the challenges, actions to support women agribusiness small scale companies&rsquo; development, and perspectives.</p>

<p>Everyone is welcome to attend MCC's Map-a-thon Monday, Nov 15 at 6 pm and/or Thursday, Nov 18th at 12:30 pm!&nbsp; The events are led by MCC's Mapping Club, a <a href="https://www.youthmappers.org/">YouthMappers</a> Chapter, and are designed for those with no prior experience!&nbsp; Youth Mappers &quot;capitalizes on web-based open geospatial technologies, and a network of universities around the globe. The mission is to cultivate a generation of young leaders to create resilient communities and to define their world by mapping it.&quot;&nbsp; The events usually focus on crisis mapping or preventative mapping.&nbsp;</p>

<p>All attendees will need to sign up and create a free Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (<a href="https://tasks.hotosm.org/">HOT) account</a> at least 2 hours before the event.&nbsp; Mapping in OpenStreetMap is a team effort, continually growing due to a community of hundreds of thousands of dedicated global contributors.&nbsp;</p>

The global pandemic has caused a reckoning of global challenges, shedding light on racial and social disparities in every fabric of society, such as healthcare and climate change. Now more than ever, we need globally minded leaders to rise to these global challenges. Steves will highlight how international travel is more than just site seeing and trying new foods, but an opportunity for students to be Global Citizens and make a positive difference in the world.<br />

Volunteers sharpen their skills in the field and are challenged with new opportunities, and go to work every day excited by the opportunity to make change.
