Changes to Dual Enrollmentand College Readiness Initiatives Organization

Currently, MCC has relationships with several high schools designed prepare their students for college. These partnerships work to better prepare students for college-level expectations and gain college-level skills in order to matriculate at a college-level. We also have initiatives meant to allow high school students the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school. There is now a need for coordination of these efforts and an organizational structure to best achieve the College's goals in this area. Therefore, beginning today, January 8, 2018, Marry Rizzo will begin her role as Interim Director of School-to-College Alliances, where she will be the front-facing campus administrator responsible for the quality and growth of current and future college partnerships and programs that serve school-age students. The interim position will report to the Dean for Academic Foundations and conclude on May 31, 2018. This term, a search will be conducted to fill the position permanently for a June start date. This interim appointment leaves a vacancy in Mary's previous position as Dual Enrollment Coordinator. Jessica Saltzberg will join us as Interim Dual Enrollment Coordinator role from January 31 to May 31, 2018. This position will report to the Interim Director of School to College Alliances. If you have any questions about this change, please do not hesitate to contact me.
