New Ramp from Route 390 to Brighton-Henrietta Townline Road to Open Thursday, June 29

News from the New York State Department of Transportation:

The newly constructed exit ramp from Interstate 390 southbound to Brighton Henrietta Townline Road in the towns of Brighton and Henrietta will open on Thursday, June 29, 2006. This project was undertaken to improve mobility for motorists traveling to the Monroe Community College (MCC) campus and to businesses along Brighton Henrietta Townline Road.

This project included new sidewalks along each side of Brighton Henrietta Townline Road from the exit west to the MCC campus. A new traffic signal was installed at the intersection of the exit ramp and coordinated with the existing signals at the MCC entrance and South Clinton Avenue. In addition, a right turn lane was constructed on Brighton Henrietta Townline Road to the entrance of Monroe Community College.

Equipment including a closed circuit television camera and a permanent electronic message board was also included as part of this project to expand the expressway traffic management system.
