Essay Contest Winners Announced

Congratulations to Monroe Community College students Hetti Puntin and Eitan Esan for winning third and second place prizes respectively in the Anna and Joseph Gartner Foundation Annual Essay Contest sponsored by the Holocaust Genocide Studies Project at MCC. SUNY Brockport student Veronica McClive won first place for her essay entitled "Never Again and Again." Awards were distributed by student members of the project at a reception on May 16.

The essays were written in response to the question: "What is my obligation to learn and retell the story of the Holocaust and, through my increased awareness, make sure that genocide never happens again?"
