Correction: Jacobite Uprising at MCC!


The correct date for the Celtic Society screening and discussion of CHASING THE DEER is TODAY, Thursday at 6 pm in 12-129.

Set in the same time period as the popular TV series, OUTLANDER, CHASING THE DEER depicts Bonnie Prince Charlie's attempt to reclaim the British throne for the House of Stuart, an uprising that ended tragically at the Battle of Culloden.

Light refreshments will be served.

Throughout the spring semester, you can attend screenings and discussions of a number of Celtic-related films. Each is free, is open to the community, begins at 6 p.m., and takes place in 12- 129. The next screening will be:

7 May                         SONG OF THE SEA (Ireland)

Celtic Society's purpose is to raise awareness of the Celtic Nations (Brittany, Cornwall, Galicia, Ireland, Isle of Man, Scotland, Wales) and diaspora.
