Oldham Interviewed About Skills Gap, Eastman Business Park Initiative

In the Jan. 24 issue of the Democrat and Chronicle, an article included an interview with Vice President Todd Oldham on our region's workforce shortages and MCC's role at Eastman Business Park.

MCC, in collaboration with Eastman Business Park, proposes to establish the Finger Lakes Regional Workforce Development Center where industry-driven education and job training, including apprenticeships, in high-demand fields would be offered.

Geneo Brown, a 2015 graduate of MCC's accelerated precision tooling certificate program, was also quoted in the article.

Todd's and Geneo's remarks send a positive message: MCC works with employers to address their evolving workforce needs and to ensure students are learning the skills needed in the workforce.
