Damon City Campus hosted “True Networking Thursdays” guests at an event held on Thursday, February 19 in the DCC Community Room. Edwin Nguti, Ivan Matthew and Michael Johnson gave an informative presentation on the “Doorway to Success” initiative which is geared toward African-American and Latino male student retention. The theme of the evening’s gathering was a tribute to Black History Month. Following the presentation, the guests enjoyed refreshments provided by the Executive Dean’s Office and an opportunity to network with community colleagues. The DCC Bookstore donated door prizes for the event.
True Networking Thursdays is an African-American networking organization whose purpose is to provide the African-American Community with opportunities for personal and professional awareness, development and interaction. TNT ultimately offers mutual benefits through networking that will strengthen our community.
