Time to plan for Scholars' Day 2021

Planning for Scholars’ Day 2021 in mid-May is well underway but the Committee continues to rely on the support of faculty and staff to make this event a success.  Here are some ways you can support Scholars’ Day:

  • Join the committee – We are always looking for new members to participate in the work needed to accomplish Scholars’ Day.
  • Submit a presentation – Faculty presentations are accepted and encouraged as a way to model scholarship for students.
  • Sponsor a student or students – Contact former students now or highlight Scholars’ Day in your Spring courses to encourage students to consider presenting.
  • Encourage attendance – Even if you don’t sponsor a presentation, you can encourage your students to “attend” Scholars’ Day by incorporating an assignment or other activity into your curricula.  Almost all students could attend since the presentations will be “virtual”.

Applications will be available soon and are due by Friday, March 19th.  More information about deadlines, workshops and the keynote address will be published in the Tribune.
