Veteran Career Opportunities Seminar to be Hosted at MCC


The Homeland Security Management Institute is teaming up with MCC’s Academy for Veterans Success, the MCC Career and Transfer Center, Wegmans, and the Veterans Outreach Center to present an orientation seminar about federal internships and jobs. The seminar is open to student veterans and those in active duty, Reserves and National Guard.

Military members and veterans of all ranks and service branches can learn about job opportunities, internships and careers in the federal government at a seminar from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, January 20, at Monroe Community College’s Brighton Campus, 1000 E. Henrietta Road; MCC’s Warshof Conference Center, R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center (parking available in lots M and M1.)

Participants in the seminar, “Student Veterans Federal Career Opportunities Orientation,” will learn what federal jobs and internships are available, how to apply for them online, the wide range of benefits available to you for your military service, critical information on enhancing your pre-employment skills, and how to succeed in the civilian workforce.
