Today, October 19, approximately 100 area Latino high school students will attend the annual Puerto Rican Youth Development and Resource Center Inc. (PRYD) Youth Conference:  "Engaging Tomorrow's Leaders, Today" at MCC. Dr. Janet Glocker will welcome students to the campus.

The keynote speaker is Mr. Augustine Melendez, Director and Vice President for Human Resources, Film Products Group, at Eastman Kodak Company.  His responsibilities include leadership in the delivery of strategic and operational human resources services to Kodak's world wide Film Products Group.

Mary Mendez Rizzo, Counselor in the MCC Admissions Office, will facilitate a workshop, "10 things I wish someone would have told me before I started college."

CSTEP students will participate in a panel discussion and the Peer Leaders from the Campus Center will conduct a college tour.

The PRYD advocates for and enhances the quality of life of Hispanic children, youth, and their families and thereby help build a better community in the Monroe County area through providing services in the areas of education, health, leadership development, cultural enrichment, employment, and by providing positive role models.
