Public Safety Training Facility's Video Department Wins Community Service Award

On June 14, 2005, John Frontuto and Daren Hammond from the Public Safety Training Facility were presented Community Service Awards from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children for their creation of a training video for law enforcement. The awards were presented at the NCMEC annual Advisory Board Annual Dinner by Robert Russo, Case Manager. The video spotlights the NCMEC New York branch in Rochester and will be seen by nearly 1,400 local law enforcement officers. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children spearheads national efforts to locate and recover missing children and raises public awareness about ways to prevent child abduction, endangerment, and sexual exploitation.

The Video Production Unit at the Public Safety Training Facility has been producing award-winning programming since 1981. John and Daren share backgrounds in film, television and commercial production. John is credited as producer and director on this program while Daren did an exceptional job as writer, videographer and editor.
