Sallie Mae Fund Scholarships

Please inform your students about the Sallie Mae Fund scholarships for students attending college in the fall.  The Sallie Mae Fund provides scholarships to those in financial need. Its programs include:

* The American Dream Scholarship Program -- developed in partnership with United Negro College Fund -- offers scholarships ranging from $500 to $5,000 to African-American students with demonstrated financial need.

* The First in My Family Scholarship Program -- developed in partnership with the Hispanic College Fund, offers scholarships ranging from $500 to $5,000 to Hispanic-American students who are the first in their families to attend college and have financial need.

* The Unmet Need Scholarship Program -- open to families with a combined income of less than $30,000. The scholarships provide a last-dollar resource when no other funds are available.

Eligibility requirements and deadline information are available on The Sallie Mae Fund website:
https://www.thesalliemaefund.org/scholarships. The Sallie Mae Fund also has online resources to help students research scholarships available from other organizations.
