    2019-20 Federal Work-Study Fund Request form available!

    The Federal Work-Study (FWS) program creates employment opportunities from which students can develop critical career readiness skills, provides students with a means to help meet their educational expenses, and provides MCC organizations with a range of assistance to serve our students more effectively.

    To request a FWS allocation for the 2019-20 academic year, MCC organizations must follow the instructions below:

    1. Complete the FWS Fund Request form

    a. What is a FWS Fund Request form? The FWS Fund Request form allows MCC organizations to request a specific FWS allocation to employ students under the FWS program. Please request the form via email to Ramon L. Rodriguez at rrodriguez@monroecc.edu.

    b. What information is required on the FWS Fund Request form?

    FWS Supervisor(s) and Time keeper contact information

    Rationale/Need for Federal Work Study Student(s) in your Department. The department must provide a justification of why they need a FWS allocation.

    Total funds being requested

    2. Submit the FWS Request Fund form.

    How do I submit the FWS Request Fund form? You complete and email this form in a Word document (No PDF or paper copy) to Ramon L. Rodriguez at rrodriguez@monroecc.edu by June 15, 2019 for full consideration.

    3. Who should I contact if I have questions about the FWS Fund Request form?

    4. Do I need to submit additional forms to participate of the Federal Work-Study program?

    In addition to the FWS Request Fund form, you will need to submit the FWS Job description for each position requested. On the FWS Job description you will need to state the Learning Outcomes for the position. The FWS Job learning outcomes is something new that has been added to the job description. We will provide more information about the FWS learning outcomes when we make available the 19-20 FWS Job description.
