Pre-Collegiate Shadow Day

On November 11th ,Veteran’s Day, sixteen students from the pre-collegiate (PC) programs (Liberty Partnership Program, Science and Technology Program and Upward Bound) participated in a Shadow Day at DCC.  The participants were hosted by ten student representatives from SEGA and Men of Excellence. It was an opportunity for the PC participants to have a realistic and practical experience of college life. Participants attended classes, toured the campus, and attended an admission presentation with Joan Moorehead.    They engaged in discussions about the experience transitioning from high school to college, the importance of being academically prepared, using resources and managing time.  Special thanks to the Department of  Education and the DCC professors who welcomed PC participants to their classes. Both participants and hosts had a wonderful lunch and a memorable experience.
