MCC Students Recognized for 2016-17 League for Innovation Student Literary Competition Participation

The following MCC students were recognized for their entries in the 2016-17 League for Innovation in the Community College's Student Literary Competition hosted by Maricopa Community Colleges. This competition included 57 literary works submitted by students from across the League's board colleges.

  • Brandon Fair was awarded third place for his one-act play, "Ruthless."
  • Vinh Nguyen was awarded merit status in the poetry category for "Imprint."
  • Julia Palozzi was awarded merit status for her fiction submission, "Where the Lake Ends."
  • Cynthia Rogers-Harrison was awarded third place for her essay, "Peeling My Onion."
