MCC will host the launch in the Finger Lakes region and serve as the ongoing host for the Finger Lakes Regional Economic Development Council. Governor Cuomo and Lt. Governor Duffy are expected to attend the launch at MCC today.

Additionally, President Anne M. Kress has been named to serve on the Finger Lakes Regional Economic Development Council, representing the voice of MCC and higher education.

Please join us for this important event from 1 pm to 2:15 pm Tuesday, July 26, 2011 in the Warshof Conference Center, R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center (Monroe A/B). Guests are asked to arrive by 12:30 pm.

As you may have read or seen in the news, Governor Cuomo recently announced that $1 billion in economic development funding will be available through a new, consolidated funding application process. Regional Councils will set strategic economic development directions and be able to apply for and access state funding and tax credits to support their regional growth strategies.
