New Employee Safety Awareness Training Classes

"New Employee Safety Awareness Training" classes will be conducted next week at both campuses. All new employees who have been hired since February 1, 2018 and have not fulfilled this requirement (by attending a prior class OR completing it in Blackboard) are required to attend one of the classes listed below.

As required by OSHA, the safety training topics will include: fire safety, emergency evacuation, emergency preparedness, hazard communication, injury/incident reporting, bloodborne pathogens and asbestos awareness.

Employees with potential workplace exposure to body fluids and/or asbestos will be required to attend the entire 90 minute presentation. Employees who do not have potential for these exposures will be dismissed at 1:00 PM.
