Save the Dates: Technology Week – January, 2009

Make it one of your 2009 New Year’s resolutions to brush up on your technology skills.  We can help you with Technology Week being offered January 12-15, 2009!  This is a conference-style event.  We will be offering three sessions each day with a variety of topics to choose from during each session.  Each session is one-hour in length and is designed to teach you a specific skill in a hands-on format.  A schedule of session offerings will be issued shortly.   In the meantime, please save the dates!  This will be a great time to come up to speed on the many cool features of Office 2007 and even get a sneak peek at Vista – Microsoft’s new operating system coming to all PCs at MCC in the very near future.

Two important reminders:

.   Speaking of Microsoft Office 2007, has your office computer or departmental laptop been upgraded yet?  If you are still using Office 2003 you need to request an upgrade now!   Please call the ETS Help Desk (extension 4357 – Option 1) from your office telephone.   Have your computer decal number ready!

.   The ETS Technology Training Team offers training on a variety of topics throughout the entire year on a “Call to Schedule” basis.  Browse the catalog of sessions on the web by clicking this link (You will be prompted for your network UserID and password before gaining access to the catalog on the Web. ):

Select a Track (See Tracks E, F, G, H and I for Microsoft Office 2007 “how to” sessions, and
Track R for Office 2007 Overview sessions of what is new and different from the previous version).  Select the session you are interested in by clicking on the session number, and you will see the contact person for that session.  Give them a call and schedule the training for a time that works best with your schedule.

We look forward to seeing you in an upcoming session!
