MCC soccer player Andy Vanderhoof and volleyball player Sarah Kuperus were named the MCC Athletes of the Week.
Vanderhoof, a freshman midfielder and co-captain, had two goals and three assists in two MCC victories last week. He tallied two goals and two assists in an 8-2 win over Niagara County CC and then added an assist in a 4-3 win over Mercyhurst North East.
Kuperus, a sophomore middle hitter, was named to the All-Tournament team at the Western New York Athletic Conference tournament on Saturday. She had 14 kills in a five-game loss to Jamestown. Kuperus also added nine more kills in a win against Finger Lakes on Wednesday and was named second team All-Conference.
