Passing of Michael W. Corrigan

It is with sadness that I inform you of the death of Michael W. Corrigan on Dec. 15 at the age of 58. Offering experience as a substance abuse counselor, Mike first served the college as an adjunct before becoming an instructor in our Health and Physical Education Department where he taught a drugs and behavior course. His service at MCC ended unexpectedly when he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2002. Prior to MCC, Mike worked at Delphi Drug and Alcohol Council for about seven years. An avid guitar player, Mike loved music especially classical guitar.

His funeral was held on Monday, Dec. 18. He is survived by his partner of 20 years, Debby Chambers; parents Raymond and Jane Corrigan; four siblings, and six nieces and nephews. Donations may be made in his memory to the Multiple Sclerosis Society -- Upstate NY Chapter, 1650 South Ave., Rochester, NY 14620.
