MCC Students Stand Against Violence

Create a legacy of change by taking a stand against violence during a community forum sponsored by MCC students in the Human Service Club at the Damon City Campus.

The students will host a two-hour event on Thursday, Nov. 8, to demonstrate their commitment to the community and seek to get everyone in the city involved. Called “Commitment to Community: Creating a Legacy of Change,” the forum will be held at 5 p.m. in the first floor of the Sibley Building, 228 East Main St., Rochester.

Audrey Smith from Mothers and Friends of Murdered Children will provide the keynote address. Presentations also will be given by Sen. Joseph E. Robach; Melvin Perez, deputy police chief of the Rochester Police Department; and Victor Saunders, director, Pathways to Peace.

For questions, e-mail "mailto:tjones036@student.monroecc.edu". The event is free and open to the public.
