MCC Congolese Students to Speak About Refugee Experiences

In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, armed militias and genocidal brutality are common.  Over 2 million have become forced refugees, while over 5 million Congolese have been murdered in just over 15 years.  Because of the escalation of the rate of rape, it’s now considered the most dangerous place on Earth for women.  And for some current MCC students, this is the reality from which they’ve come.

Join us as we welcome three of these singular students, who will generously share their stories as part of a panel hosted by the students of the Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Project.  We invite all MCC students, faculty, and staff to support these members of our community by attending this special event on Tuesday, March 6th  from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the Flynn Campus Center Brighton Room, 3-217.
