For those who will NOT be available for the summer or are planning a vacation and will not be retrieving messages from your voice mailbox, please remember to record an extended-absence greeting. This will allow you to record specific information and prohibits callers from leaving messages that will go unanswered while conserving valuable disk space on the voice servers.
The extended-absence greeting should indicate when you will return and suggest another person that they can contact during your absence.
To record an extended-absence greeting:
· Access your mailbox
· Press 4 for greeting
· Press 7 to record greeting
· Press # when finished recording
Please remember to record your regular greeting when you return to the office. Thank you for taking the time to assist your callers.
