MCC Places First in the Northeast Region in a National Math League Contest

Each semester between 30 and 60 MCC students participate in the American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges (AMATYC) Student Math League Contest by taking the contest Exam.  MCC's team score is determined by the total of our top 5 individual scorers on this exam.  Fall and Spring contest totals then make up a college's final score for the academic year.

This year MCC has placed 1st in the Northeast Region after posting the highest team score on both the Fall and Spring exams.

On the Spring Exam, Li Zhang of MCC had the highest individual score in the Northeast and the 28th highest score in the country.
