Residence Life is Raising the Bar. Join the network!

Resident Assistants (RAs) are student leaders who live on a residence hall floor, are available to students as a resource to the college and more specifically to Housing & Residence Life. RAs plan events, enforce policies and procedures and help with any issues that resident students may experience while living in the residence halls. RAs work closely with the professional staff member in the building known as the Resident Director (RD), meeting with them weekly to stay informed on the happenings within the college and residence halls and planning events with them as well. The benefits of being a Resident Assistant are abundant as it is a wonderful opportunity to build upon your communication, mediation, problem solving and leadership skills, among others.

If you know an individual who has these qualities please email the individual’s name to Housing & Residence Life, <mailto:residencehalls@monroecc.edu>. Nominations are appreciated up to the February 11, 2009 application deadline.
