Review of Employee Parking

Please take a moment and review the parking regulations for employees.  It seems that some employees are confused where they can park.

EMPLOYEE PARKING
The Monroe County Parking Program at Monroe Community College on the Brighton Campus is a fee-based program that requires parking by permit or at meters only. Currently, employees who are hired under Civil Service or Faculty contracts are not required to pay for parking. Employee parking permits must be obtained in person from the Public Safety Office in Building 7, Room 341. This requires your vehicle registration and a Parking Permit Application.  Your SUNYCard identification card will allow you to access the gated employee parking lots A, K and P. Additional reserved parking for employees is located in the first rows of lots F, M, Q and the first 2 rows in lot G.  Refer to the Brighton Campus Map.  Faculty and staff are not permitted to park in student parking and are subject to ticketing when doing so.

Employees with dependants attending the college must obtain a student parking permit.  Only the employee has the privilege of parking in employee spaces. All others will be ticketed.

Refer to the Brighton Campus Traffic and Parking Regulations.  It gives a detailed explanation of the Parking Program. Any questions or concerns should be directed to our office at extension 2700. We will gladly assist you with special needs! We issue temporary permits for guest lecturers, temporary use of an alternate vehicle, loading/unloading, etc. Just a reminder ANY VEHICLE NOT DISPLAYING A VALID PARKING PERMIT OR NOT PARKED AT AN UNEXPIRED METER IS SUBJECT TO TICKETING.

Avoid unnecessary ticketing: Early notification to our office of special situations contributes greatly towards meeting your needs and that of the College Community.

Remember: The Administrative Loop is for visitors ONLY - Employees are permitted to park only at non-metered spaces after 5:00 PM.  This regulation is strictly enforced to provide parking for visitors.
