During the week of September 24 through 28, 2012 in honor of the Rochester Deaf Awareness Week (RDAW) MCC’s ASL Instructor, Rita Straubhaar will be offering free Mini ASL Classes from 9 am to 10:30 am. Classes will be in PAC Conference room 10-182 for Monday -Thursday classes and in Conference room 3-115 for Friday’s class.
· Monday’s class will focus on signs for people that work in the food service industry (restaurants, bars, etc).
· Tuesday’s class will focus will focus on signs for families with deaf and hard of hearing children.
· Wednesday’s class will focus on signs for those who work in the retail and sales industry.
· Thursday’s class will focus on signs for general social interactions with deaf signers.
· Friday’s class will focus on everything you wanted to know about Deaf Culture.
Classes are Free and open to the public.
