Join the Eat Well, Live Well 2013 Challenge!

The Eat Well, Live Well Challenge is returning to MCC!  It’s time to form teams for EWLW 2013.  The challenge runs from Sunday, March 10th through Saturday, May 4th.  Teams will consist of at least eight members, including a designated captain.  Each captain must inform Craig Rand of its members as soon as possible.

EWLW is a program sponsored by Wegmans in which participants are encouraged to eat healthier and become more active.  Members keep track of the steps taken throughout the day using a pedometer supplied by MCC.  They also keep track of their daily intake of fruits and vegetables.  Everyone creates their own goals at the beginning of the challenge by entering them on the EWLW website.

We will draw names for weekly prizes that will be given to participants who track their progress on line.  We have some great prizes to give away!  We encourage teams to compete with each other during the challenge.  The losing team could make lunch for the winning team, or whatever incentive each team wants to come up with.

This year’s challenge also involves checking your blood pressure, as we are participating in the Rochester Community Blood Pressure Challenge.  The idea is to encourage all employees to know their blood pressure numbers.  Health Services has a blood pressure station available to all employees.

Please join us in this great opportunity to do something good for yourself and also have some fun networking with colleagues and coworkers.

Team Captains, contact Craig Rand at <mailto:crand@monroecc.edu> to inform him of your team’s members ASAP!   Pedometers can be picked up from Sandy Warren, Human Resources, Room 1-303, beginning Monday, March 4th.
