Lori Van Dusen Steps Down from the Board of Trustees

I regret to inform you that Lori Van Dusen has resigned her seat on the MCC Board of Trustees. I am personally grateful to Lori for her leadership and her passionate commitment to Monroe Community College. She served as an MCC trustee for nearly 10 years and always brought to bear a sharp intellect, a deep appreciation for the impact of this college on the community, and a commitment to doing what is best for the students and the community. I thank her for her service and regret that she has chosen to leave the board at this time. Her resignation is a loss for the entire college community.

Lori asked that this message be shared with you:

“Colleagues,

It is with deep regret that I have tendered my resignation from the MCC Board of Trustees. I know you can appreciate that this decision has not come easily; my belief in MCC and its value to the community make severing this formal tie difficult and regrettable. I have made this decision for practical and personal reasons, and will miss my affiliation with the college and my partnership with all of you.

I remain in deep admiration of the entire college community and I wish only the best for MCC as it continues its search for a great leader to follow in the footsteps of Tom Flynn.”
