Intro to Terrorism offered by Homeland Security Management Institute

What is terrorism? Do you ever wonder what ideologies motivate people to unite together into organized terrorist groups? What mechanisms are used to label terrorist groups? What are the immediate goals and common characteristics of terrorist groups? This online course is designed to give students a general understanding of terrorism, terrorist activities, and basic survival skills in a hostage situation.

"Intro to Terrorism" is taught by Colonel John J. Perrone Jr., former commander at the al Qaeda Terrorist Detention Facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, former anti-terrorism chief with the U.S. Army, and director of the Homeland Security Management Institute at Monroe Community College.

This online course will run from April 17 - May 14, 2007. For more information and to register visit: <<https://www.monroecc.edu/depts/instech/csmain/hsmi.htm>>
