This is the last day of the Enough is Enough Campaign.   Check it out what’s happening today…

Thursday, March 7th:

8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. - Brick Wall of Violence (North Atrium and PAC Lobby) - Take a moment to tell your story of how you or someone you know has been effected by violence.

8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. - Posters for PEACE (North Atrium) – Students from AAD 260 create pieces of art proclaiming peace.

8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. - Shoes of the Victims/13 Stories of Domestic Violence (Terrace) – Take time to reflect as you interact with this display of shoes with corresponding stories of women who have been murdered on college campuses around the country.

8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. - Understanding Violence Essay Contest (North Atrium) – Students in the honors class HMC295 (Violence, Art and Activism) all wrote essays that argue the apparent ethical intent of one philosopher’s attempt to understand some aspect of physical violence.  Come read the winning essay on display all week.

11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. - CommUNITY Beats of PEACE Celebration (Campus Center Atrium) –

We are bringing people together around positive and upbeat music to foster a sense of peace and unity on campus.  Join us for cake and 50 Ways that MCC is a safe place and take time to write out a thank you card to someone at MCC.  We will deliver it for you!  Show some LOVE!

1:30-2:30 p.m. - Bullying Awareness – this program will talk about bullying and the unfortunate consequences of bullying.  We will explore the link between bullying and suicide and discuss ways to help.

7:30 p.m. - Enough is Enough: Take a Stand to Be in the Mix (All Resident Hall Lobbies) – Sign the pledge wall and get a Twix bar!
