The Academy for Veterans Success, housed in the MCC Counseling and Advising Center, is developing a comprehensive system of educational services and support to address the academic needs, career goals and personal concerns of our veteran students. In accordance with this intent, a College Orientation Seminar has been developed for our students who have military service. The course number and section is COS 133-R10.
This course is designed to help our students who have served in the military to develop strategies and skills necessary for a successful college experience and will prepare them for their academic journey. When advising and registering a student, please ask if they have military service and if they would like to be registered for this course. Guest speakers from the Veterans Administration and Veterans Outreach Center will present up-to-date information concerning financial support and services our veteran students can access.
