Don't Miss an Arts-Filled Weekend

For the past three weeks, the MCC community had opportunities to partake in free events associated with The Freedom Place Collection exhibit: from a gallery talk by artist Robert Freeman to a collage workshop led by faculty artists. This weekend marks the final two events highlighting The Freedom Place Collection in celebration of Black History Month and as part of the college’s commitment to foster greater awareness and appreciation of diversity and inclusion in society. All these events related to the exhibit became possible because of the extraordinary work and dedication of MCC’s Diversity Council members, Creative Arts Committee and Mercer Gallery. If you haven’t had a chance to see this special exhibit of rarely seen works by five African-American artists, it will be on display through Sunday, Feb. 27.

This weekend, you can enjoy the exhibit PLUS …
