MCC hosted Workforce Diversity Network’s monthly meeting on August 20, 2009. Char Downing and Craig Rand, Co-Chairs of MCC’s Diversity Council, gave the host organization presentation “Strategic Directions: Grassroots Empowerment”. A discussion of Scott Pages’ book “The Difference: How the Power of Diversity Creates Better Groups, Firms, Schools and Societies” was the feature presentation. The event was attended by officers of various local colleges and businesses as well as our own Diversity Council members.
