On Wednesday, April 1, at Rockland Community College in Suffern, NY, Diane Shoger, executive director of the MCC Foundation, led a workshop on the “History, Structure, and Operation of the MCC Foundation." At the invitation of the president of Rockland Community College, Dr. Cliff L. Wood, Diane Shoger spoke to Rockland Community College’s Board of Trustees and Foundation Board members as part of their discovery process for an organizational review. The two-hour session covered best practices implemented at MCC which have been proven successful and also provided an in-depth look at the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the College and Foundation. MCC and the MCC Foundation are truly seen as a model for others to learn from and aspire to as demonstrated by our fellow SUNY college’s interest in reaching out to us.
