RE: Death of Evelyn Damon

I am saddened to inform you that Evelyn Damon, wife of MCC Trustee Emeritus E.
Kent Damon, passed away Monday, Sept. 16 after a brief illness. She was
predeceased by her husband last year.

While Mr. Damon served on the College's Board of Trustees and the MCC
Foundation's Board of Directors, Mrs. Damon was an important supporter of and
partner in her husband's community service. She was often by her husband's side
at MCC events and spoke frequently about the importance of education. Indeed,
she was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Smith College.

Just last May, Mrs. Damon attended the dedication of a memorial wall at the
Damon City Campus in honor of her husband, the campus' namesake.

Mrs. Damon is survived by their children: E. Kent, Jr. of Montecito, CA;
Bradley and Gail of Fairport; Kathleen Elizabeth of Westfield, MA; and Sally of
Greenwich, CT. Additionally, the Damons enjoyed five grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren.

Services for Mrs. Damon will be held at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 26, at St.
Paul's Episcopal Church, 25 Westminster Road (at the corner of East Avenue and
Westminster). A reception in the parish hall will follow the service. In lieu
of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
