Mental Health First Aid Training for Faculty, Staff, and Administrators

The Teaching & Creativity Center, Faculty Senate Professional Development Committee, Student Services, and Human Resources are collaborating once again to make Mental Health First Aid training available to MCC faculty, staff, and administrators.  The training will be led by our colleague, Shannon Glasgow, LMHC.

This 8-hour training program teaches participants to help others who are developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.  The training helps participants to identify, understand, and respond to signs of addictions and mental illnesses. We will be offering the 8-hour training in two cycles in the coming weeks.  All sessions will run from 4-6pm in the Brighton TCC (12-201):

Cycle 1:  Tuesday, March 22nd; Wednesday, March 23rd; Tuesday, April 5th; Wednesday, April 6th.

Cycle 2:  Monday, April 18th; Thursday, April 21st; Monday, April 25th; Thursday, April 28th.

Space is available for 15 participants in each training.
