The American Association of Community Colleges has produced a 48-page booklet reporting on the extensive training for first and even second responders provided by community colleges across the nation. The booklet is called First Responders: Community Colleges on the Front Line of Security. Among many findings, Monroe Community College is noted for establishing a public safety training facility in partnership with Monroe County and the City of Rochester and for creating the Homeland Security Management Institute.
