Interested in creating an Honors Option Course?

The Honors Institute is seeking proposals for Honors Option Courses for the FALL20 semester. Honors Option Courses help more students gain access to Honors Programming by increasing the number of courses that can provide students with credits for an Honors Degree. An Honors Option Course (HOC) is a standard course in which three seats are set aside for Honors students who work with the instructor to complete a project that involves deeper, broader, or more complex learning than is required in usual coursework. The course size is reduced to enable faculty members to spend time outside class meetings with students working on their projects.

If you have any questions about Honors Option Courses, please contact me (tblake@monroecc.edu).

Please submit your proposal to The Honors Institute by 10/15.

Proposal form attached. You can also use the following link: https://employees.monroecc.edu/OnlineForms.nsf/myMCC-ByForm/3826C7BC76626CD4852581A1006186C1

Thank you for supporting the Honors Institute!
