East Henrietta Road Reconstruction Update

Prior to the start of the fall semester on Sept. 2, the New York State Department of Transportation will pave the reconstruction areas on East Henrietta Road from the I-390 interchange south to Brighton Henrietta Town Line Road. East Henrietta Road will then completely reopen to five lanes, consisting of two travel lanes in each direction with a center turning lane. Reconstruction of the west side of the highway -- between I-390 and Crittenden Road -- will occur over this upcoming weekend, Aug. 22 to 25.

During the fall semester, work will continue with the installation of new sidewalks, traffic signals and signs. At times, it will be necessary to reduce the number of travel lanes in order to complete some of this work. Lane closures will be scheduled to minimize disruptions during the peak morning and afternoon rush hours.

A new ramp connecting East Henrietta Road to the Brighton Henrietta Town Line Road / Clay Road intersection will be constructed in 2009.
