Please advise students of these upcoming Spring 2007 transfer-related events:
1. “Filling Out My SUNY Application” workshop, where students can complete the SUNY Application with the help of advisors. The workshop is Tuesday, March 6th at 12:30 PM – 1:20 PM in the Career Center Library. Students may call the Career Center at 292-2248 to register.
2. Transfer Tours including free transportation to and from MCC Brighton or Damon campuses, a question and answer session with a transfer admissions counselor, and a tour led by a current student serving as a tour guide. Students may call the Career Center at 292-2248 to register for the Brighton van or to drive themselves. Students who plan to use the Damon van should call Damon City Campus Student Services at 262-1753. Please encourage students to sign up early, as seats fill up quickly for the tours.
SUNY Brockport Tour is Friday, March 2, 2007 at 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM.
Rochester Institute of Technology Tour is Friday, March 16, 2007 at 8:15 AM – 3:00 PM (Brighton van) or 8:00 AM – 3:15 PM (Damon van).
Nazareth College and St. John Fisher College Tour is Thursday, March 29, 2007 8:45 AM – 3:45 PM.
3. Scholarship Search Workshops include information on resources, directories, and publications for MCC and transfer scholarships, an examination of typical scholarship requirements, advice on writing a scholarship essay, and a hands-on internet scholarship search. Workshops take place in the Career Center Library. Students may call the Career Center at 292-2248 to register.
